The 2026 UMQ Annual Conference

It is with immense pride and great enthusiasm that the 8Module team took part in the recent 2026 Annual Conference of the Union des municipalités du Québec (UMQ). This flagship event for the municipal sector provided us with an exceptional opportunity to place affordable housing at the very heart of future discussions.

Throughout the event, our team had the privilege of speaking directly with numerous mayors and elected officials from all across the province. These inspiring discussions allowed us to see, once again, just how much the housing crisis is a shared priority and that the need for concrete, rapid, and sustainable solutions is stronger than ever.

An Inspiring Audience and Shared Solutions

We would like to commend the vision and openness of Quebec’s elected officials. Your local realities, regional challenges, and desire to offer dignified living environments to your citizens are the very reason 8Module innovates every day. Presenting our turnkey modular construction integrator model to such engaged decision-makers confirms that we are part of the solution.

The response to our affordable housing solutions (duplexes, multiplexes, and community complexes) was incredibly positive. The interest shown by cities, municipalities, and non-profits (OBNLs) clearly demonstrates that public-private collaboration is the key to building tomorrow's Quebec.
